03. mosaiques

  • 2025

This project, developed in collaboration with the association Déchets d’Arts, focuses on the rehabilitation of existing public furniture and mosaic panels within a residential area in Villetaneuse, north of Paris. Designed as a participatory artistic process, it brought together local residents to collectively imagine, design, and renew twelve mosaic panels.

The new creations were made using recovered mosaic pieces from the original structures: the fragments were carefully removed, cleaned, and sorted by color before being reused in the new compositions. This approach not only gave new life to the materials but also preserved the memory and identity of the site.

Through this process, artistic creation became a tool for connection and revitalization — transforming neglected public spaces into vibrant, collective artworks rooted in both past and present.

Big thank you to Henrick, Pauline, Chloé, Elyo, Paulo, Charlie and Indio :)
